Esports production company Global Electronic Sports Championships has announced a series of four Dota 2 Minors to be held in Southeast Asia. The events in this “league” series will be Valve-sponsored Minors, with a $300,000 purse for each and 300 Pro Circuit Qualifying Points to be rewarded for the top four players.
The company already revealed in the past on its site that the first of its events would be held in Singapore. Now, the GESC site has released the locations and dates of all four events, dubbed “The GESC Dota 2 E-Series:”
- Singapore, January 12-14, 2018
- Kuala Lumpur, March 2-4, 2018
- Bangkok, March 16-17, 2018
- Jakarta, Indonesia, May 13-15, 2018
No other information about these events is known at this time.
GESC promises “bring together fans of all major professional games and provide an arena for the world’s greatest gamers to compete in world-class productions.” The company doesn’t have any prior event experience listed, and its staff appear to be kept under wraps for the time being.
