European start-up squad Planet Dog has been acquired by European banner Hellraisers, the latter organization announced Thursday. The banner swap comes just in time for the team to travel to The International 7’s main stage for the biggest Dota 2 event of the year.
Briefly before TI7’s qualifier stages, four out of five players left their former organization, ProDota, due to internal conflict. Under the new banner, Planet Dog, they went into the open qualifiers and continued to win one of two European slots for the main event.
Hellraisers as a banner had a team up until the “3/22” shuffle drama in 2016, when the team split at the very last second to join other squads. This new acquisition brings in players that have never worked under this banner.
The acquisition is perfectly fine by Valve’s roster swap rules, as long as the player lineup doesn’t change.
This roster is as follows, in order of farm-priority position:
- Uroš “Swiftending” Galić
- Greg “Keyser” Kallianiotis
- Neta “33” Shapira
- Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara
- Alexei “j4” Lipai”
