China is one of the biggest regions for Dota 2, with publisher Perfect World assisting Valve in the country’s specific distribution guidelines. It’s no surprise, then, that this next Valve Minor is taking place in the world’s biggest country, hosted by Perfect World themselves. It will also be the first Pro Circuit event to take place in the Asian country.
The event brings a mix of teams new and old. Along with the invited Chinese semi-finalists of The International 7, Newbee, is that event’s dark horse, LGD.Forever Young, which made an impression after dominating much of the annual event. Pro Circuit stronghold Mineski has shown up, and Team Kinguin, a European squad, will make their first-ever LAN appearance.
Regardless of who comes out on top, it should be an exciting event—and we’re here as always to help you catch up, with general schedules, event format and the full list of teams.

Competition Format: This event works in a double-elimination bracket with a round-robin group stage.
- All teams will start by being seeded into two groups. Each team will play each other in best-of-2s.
- At the end of the group stage, eight teams will be seeded into a double-elimination bracket. [It appears the bottom two teams may be eliminated.]
- The teams begin in an upper bracket. If they lose, they are sent to a lower bracket. If they win, they move on through the upper bracket.
- All lower bracket matches are elimination matches.
- Both brackets play out until the finals.
The Upper and Lower Brackets finals take place on the same day, and the Grand Finals will have a day of its own, on Sunday, November 26.
