ESL One Genting will make its return in late January 2018, as Resort World Genting, the hosting venue, shared on their site through the ticketing page.
This particular event will have slightly more cash and Qualifying Points at stake—$400,000 USD and, directly corresponding to the prize pool, 400 Qualifying Points to split between teams. Other Minors have $300,000 at stake, meaning 300 Qualifying Points.
As ESL previously hinted via announcements and the Dota 2 Pro Circuit site, the event will take place from January 23-28. It will be the third consecutive Valve Pro Circuit event so far in Southeast Asia, and fourth in the Asian region including China.
Genting will also be one of four ESL events for the Pro Circuit 2017-18 season that will be considered an official event with Qualifying points at stake. The first upcoming one will be Hamburg, a Major, taking place October 26-29. The other two have yet to be announced, but they are designated by Valve as Majors as well.
Last year, this event was the first of the calendar year; it boasted $250,000 USD and featured tier-one teams such as Newbee, Digital Chaos and Virtus Pro.
